Thank you for choosing WallBit ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our"), developed by Srivatsa. WallBit is an Android wallpaper application engineered to provide high-definition 4K curated wallpapers.

We strongly respect your privacy. WallBit is built with a privacy-first architecture: end users can browse, preview, and download wallpapers without signing up, without logging in, and without submitting personal data.

2. Information We Collect (or Do Not Collect)

Information You Provide to Us: Standard users do not transmit personal data. Only authorized administrators who upload and manage wallpaper content log in through a secured Firebase Authentication interface.

Automatically Collected Technical Information: To ensure network connectivity and serve wallpapers, standard non-identifiable technical data (such as general network status and server HTTP requests) is processed transiently by Google Firebase infrastructure to fulfill content requests. We do not build user profiles, do not track you across other applications, and do not sell data to advertisers or data brokers.

3. Device Permissions & Usage

WallBit requests minimal Android permissions solely required to perform user-requested actions:

• Photos / Media / Storage Access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Requested only when you tap the "Download" button to save a wallpaper to your device's picture gallery. WallBit never accesses, reads, scans, or uploads your personal photos or documents.
• Internet Access (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to connect to the cloud database to download wallpaper thumbnails and full-resolution graphics, and to gracefully handle offline states.
• Set Wallpaper (SET_WALLPAPER): Used exclusively to enable applying chosen wallpapers directly to your home screen or lock screen from within the application.

4. Third-Party Services

The application relies on trusted services provided by Google for content delivery and infrastructure:

• Google Firebase Realtime Database: Used to distribute wallpaper titles, categories, and image payloads. Subject to Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Google Firebase Authentication: Employed solely for administrator authentication to manage wallpaper catalogs. Regular end users do not interface with this login system.
• Google Play Services: Required for the distribution, installation, and updating of the application via Google Play Store.

5. Data Security

We utilize secure communications (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transferred between the application and Google Cloud servers. Database read and write operations are strictly regulated by Firebase Security Rules, restricting content modification permissions solely to the authenticated administrator UID.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

WallBit does not target or knowingly solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Since WallBit does not collect personal identifiers from any users, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can immediately purge it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to accommodate application improvements or regulatory changes. Any updates will be published immediately on this webpage with a revised "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
